Systems Xcellence Completes Senior Management Team with Appointment of both Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Vice President of Corporate Development

MILTON, Ontario (June 25, 1999) - Gordon Glenn, President and Chief Executive Officer of Systems Xcellence Inc., today announced the appointment of Mr. Walter Ellenberger as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Mr. John Connolly as Vice President of Corporate Development. Mr. Ellenberger will spearhead all Sales and Marketing initiatives for the Company, while Mr. Connolly will be responsible for heading up the corporate development efforts related to strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Ellenberger brings to Systems Xcellence 17 years of significant healthcare systems experience with a focus on provider and payer based managed care solutions. Most recently, Mr. Ellenberger held the position of Executive Vice President of Sales for Health Systems Technologies, a web based provider network management systems vendor. Prior to this, Mr. Ellenberger held the position of Vice President, Sales for AMISYS Managed Care Systems, the leading provider of payer oriented risk management systems. Mr. Ellenberger holds both a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia University and a Masters in Health Services Administration from George Washington University.

Mr. Connolly also comes to Systems Xcellence with a strong healthcare background. Prior to joining SX, he held the position of Vice President and Partner at MDS Capital Corp., and before that was employed by McCain Foods Limited as Manager of Corporate Development. Mr. Connolly received his BA Honors from McGill University, and shortly thereafter received his MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
