Vice President of Product Development Appointed at Systems Xcellence 

MILTON, Ontario (May 20, 1999) - Gordon Glenn, President and Chief Executive Officer of Systems Xcellence Inc., today announced that Malcolm Macallum has joined the Company as Vice President of Product Development. Reporting directly to the CEO, Mr. Macallum will be responsible for managing the product development organization. As such, he will procure and manage the resources necessary to meet delivery commitments in addition to ensuring the quality of product deliverables.

Mr. Macallum has over 20 years proven experience in the high technology industry. Most recently, as Vice President, Information Technology and Business Systems for Baton Broadcasting Incorporated, Mr. Macallum was accountable for all aspects of IT strategy covering 25 broadcast stations across Canada. Prior to this, Malcolm held progressively more senior management positions at Glaxowellcome Incorporated. As Senior Business Manager, Information Systems, he was responsible for the delivery and execution of all company wide IT strategies. Mr. Macallum holds both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from York University, as well as successfully completing the Executive Management Program from the University of Michigan.
