Systems Xcellence partners with ProVantage to market their Decision Support System under the name HX-Eval

MILTON, ONTARIO, March 11, 1999 - Systems Xcellence (TSE: SXC), a leading provider of electronic transaction processing software for the healthcare industry, announced today that ProVantage's ProV-Query product will be distributed by SX as part of the Company's Healthcare Xcellence suite under the name HX-Eval. HX-Eval is a web-enabled pharmaceutical decision support software system that provides desktop access to a wide variety of data to help customers better determine where plan changes are necessary and are most likely to have the greatest impact.

Through this partnership, SX is able to provide its customers and prospects with secure Web-enabled decision support products. The Oracle-based data warehouse allows Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) to turn collected data into actionable information at a fraction of the cost of developing an in-house solution.
