Systems Xcellence to Develop Web Based Member Eligibility Verification Module for PlanetRx.com (MILTON, Ontario) 

June 13, 2000 - Systems Xcellence Inc.,(TSE: SXC), an Ontario-based provider of advanced online transaction processing solutions for the healthcare benefits management industry, announced today that it has signed an agreement to build an Online Web Based Member Eligibility Verification Module for PlanetRx.com, Inc., a leading full-service online pharmacy and Internet healthcare destination. Systems Xcellence (SX) will develop and deliver this Internet based Eligibility Verification system, enabling PlanetRx to optimize eligibility processing for consumers using their online pharmacy services. 

SX will provide PlanetRx with the capability to facilitate Internet based member eligibility support. PlanetRx, using this new module will have the ability to verify a customer's health insurance information at the time of registration, further validating that the customer has correctly entered all required data. The system will also validate that the customer is eligible for coverage according to the third party plan, and that PlanetRx can fill the prescription for that plan.

The agreement represents a significant opportunity for Systems Xcellence to expand its offerings by working closely with a major U.S. based Internet Healthcare service provider.
