Systems Xcellence Announces InformedRx Contract with the University of Michigan

MILTON, Ontario September 8, 2005, Systems Xcellence Inc., (“SXC” or the “Company”) (TSX: SXC) a leading provider of healthcare information technology solutions throughout the pharmaceutical supply chain, announces a three-year contract for its InformedRx pharmacy benefit administration services through its U.S. subsidiary, SXC Health Solutions, Inc., with the University of Michigan (the “University”).

The University will use InformedRx to help design prescription drug benefit plans for its members, adjudicate prescription drug claims, manage reimbursement of retail pharmacy network and mail service contracts, analyze drug utilization, and establish a web portal to extend the point-of-contact with their members. In addition, the University will use InformedRx to manage rebate contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers as well as take member and pharmacy help desk calls.
