Mary Ellen Mitchell, R.Ph.
Chief Services Officer
Ms. Mitchell is Chief Services Officer at SXC, where she is responsible for forging new strategic relationships while maintaining the optimum level of client satisfaction and corporate retention among NMHC’s current and potential client base. She also works closely with Sales and Marketing by facilitating finalist presentations and attending benefit consultant forums. She oversees network management and is instrumental in pricing modeling for both prospective and current clients. Through her tenure at NMHC, Ms. Mitchell has served as Vice President of Provider Relations and has also overseen Client Services.
Ms. Mitchell worked at CVS, the largest retail pharmacy chain in the USA, from 1987-2005. She began her career there as a Pharmacist, and was promoted to Pharmacy Supervisor, Manager of Third Party Operations, Manager of Contract Compliance, and Director of Managed Care. Some of her responsibilities included the integration of activities for the various acquisitions CVS had completed during this timeframe, management of system changes, collection and billing of clients for services, management of both private and Medicaid receivables, day to day management of contract administration, enrollment and contract compliance, management of client relations, and overseeing negotiation of contracts for many of CVS’s strategic and large contracts.
Ms. Mitchell received her BS of Pharmacy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. She is currently a member of the PA Pharmacists’ Association and National Council of Prescription Drug Programs.
