Mark A. Thierer

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Thierer is President and Chief Executive Officer of SXC, and serves on the SXC Board of Directors. Mr. Thierer is a recognized leader in healthcare, with over twenty-five years of experience in pharmacy benefits management (PBM) and healthcare information technology (HCIT) markets.

Prior to joining SXC, Mr. Thierer was the President of Physicians Interactive, a division of Allscripts, Inc., the leading provider of Electronic Health Records, ePrescribing, and information solutions for physicians. Mr. Thierer led the strategic repositioning of Physicians Interactive from a provider of electronic detailing to a full service platform provider of on-line marketing and educational tools for physicians.

Prior to Allscripts, Mr. Thierer spent ten years with CaremarkRx, now CVS/Caremark, where he was a corporate officer and key executive in helping build Caremark into a market leading pharmacy benefits manager and specialty pharmacy company. At Caremark, Mr. Thierer held numerous senior operating positions, including Senior Vice President, Industry Relations, where he built extensive executive-level supply chain relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and generic drug companies. In addition, Mr. Thierer had operating responsibility for Caremark's retail network business, developing new network service offerings for managed care and employers, as well as establishing Caremark's contracting relationships with major chain drug stores such as Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart and Rite Aid. Mr. Thierer began his career at Caremark in sales and marketing, where he served as Vice President, Corporate Accounts, with sales and account management responsibility for the top 125 Caremark clients nationwide, including Fortune 500 employers, coalitions, unions, and health plans.

Prior to Caremark, Mr. Thierer spent ten years with IBM, managing a sales organization dedicated to the healthcare industry. Mr. Thierer holds a B.S. in Finance and an M.B.A. in Marketing. He also holds the designation of CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist). Mr. Thierer serves on the board of Directors of the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA). Mr. Thierer is also an active member of numerous industry associations including NCPDP, AMCP, NACDS, HIMSS, and PCMA.

Mr. Thierer is an advisor to the Jeffrey Pride Foundation for Pediatric Cancer Research.

Jeffrey Park

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Park joined SXC as CFO in March 2006. SXC Health Solutions Corp (SXC). is a leading provider of pharmacy benefit management services and Healthcare Information Technology solutions to the healthcare benefits management industry. SXC serves many of the largest organizations in the pharmaceutical supply chain, such as health plans; employers; Federal, provincial, and state governments; institutional pharmacies; pharmacy benefit managers; and retail pharmacy chains. SXC is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Exchange, the company has over 900 employees in multiple locations in North America and revenues in excess of $1.3 billion. 

Mr. Park was responsible for SXC's successful Nasdaq IPO in June 2006, and the acquisition of National Medical Health Card (NMHC) which was completed in May 2008.  In addition to his financial and business development roles, he is responsible for the Human Resource and facility operations of SXC.  Prior to his appointment, Mr. Park was a member of the Board of Directors of SXC and was Senior Vice President of Covington Capital Corporation, a private equity venture capital firm with assets of more than $600 million under management.  Mr Park, joined Covington in 1998 as Investment Manager, and during that time he was responsible for assessing new business opportunities, sourcing and structuring transactions and advising investee companies. While at Covington, Mr. Park was a member of the board of directors of a number of public and private Covington-backed companies in a diverse array of industries.

Prior to Covington, Mr. Park worked for IBM in several areas of their Global Services Organization including the outsourcing of services, technology and infrastructure for clients such as Air Canada, Bell Canada and National Bank Financial.  Mr. Park, received his Chartered Accountant designation while working at Deloitte & Touche, and received his Bachelor of Accounting degree with Honors from Brock University in 1995.

Mike Bennof

Executive Vice President of Healthcare Information Technology

As Executive VP of SXC's Healthcare Information Technology (HCIT) group, Mr. Bennof is responsible for executive management, growth, and support to clients' use of healthcare IT applications and services.  SXC's clients supported within HCIT are operated in locations across North America and International sites.  HCIT's mission is to help health care companies better manage rising prescription drug costs and enhance the level of care they provide to their members.  Mr. Bennof oversees the operations of the HCIT group's multiple divisions, which serve major pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), health plans, third party administrators, and government clients seeking commercial and Medicare Part D support.   

SXC's HCIT group provides technology and domain expertise for pharmacy services, including claims processing, PBM support, rebate contracts management, formulary management, clinical support, data warehousing, and related systems built and operated to support pharmacy benefit management for healthcare payors.  

Joining SXC in 1998, Mr. Bennof brought 18 years of in-depth experience in the software and high-technology industries.  He held executive management positions with Computer Data Systems, Inc. which later was acquired by Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., and served as Vice President of Development for Decision Systems Technologies, Inc.

Mr. Bennof holds a B.S. Degree in Business from Rider College. He is a member of the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP), Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Canada Health Infoway, Private Sector Technology Group (PSTG), Tennessee Pharmacists Association, and sits on the Midwest and State and Local Government Board of Directors for TechAmerica.

John Romza

Executive Vice President, Research and Development and Chief Technology Officer

As Executive Vice President of Research and Development and CTO, Mr. Romza is responsible for the software development, technical infrastructure, and operation activities of the SXC processing centers and regional offices.

Mr. Romza brings over 25 years of software development experience to this position with 20 of those years concentrated in developing software products for the pharmacy industry.  He has led large-scale software development projects and has extensive experience resulting from consulting and training engagements in information management for the pharmacy industry.

Mr. Romza is a recognized expert in the field and has been quoted in industry publications such as "ComputerTalk for the Pharmacist", presented at NCPDP educational forums, and was a contributing author to the AMCP publication "Managed Care Pharmacy Practice", a commonly used textbook in Schools of Pharmacy throughout the United States.

Mr. Romza joined Systems Xcellence as a result of the ComCoTec acquisition in 2001. His other career opportunities included teaching both Computer Science and Mathematics courses at Loyola University.

Mr. Romza has a Bachelor of Science degree (magna cum laude) from Loyola University of Chicago in Mathematics and Computer Science. He also has a Master of Science degree (summa cum laude) from the Illinois Institute of Technology, in Computer Science.

Mr. Romza maintains professional affiliations with NCPDP, ASAP, and the Chicago Software Association.

Greg Buscetto

Executive Vice President and General Manager, informedRx

As Executive Vice President and General Manager of informedRx, Mr. Buscetto is responsible for the day-to-day operations, retention of clients and growth in SXC's PBM business.  Mr. Buscetto was responsible for the successful integration of NMHC.

Mr. Buscetto has more than twenty years of PBM and healthcare related technology industry experience.  Prior to joining informedRx, Mr. Buscetto held various senior level positions at ProCare Rx including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.  Mr. Buscetto helped lead ProCare Rx's transition from a claims processor to a full service PBM during his tenure.  He held management responsibility for 125 employees and was a key driver of ProCare Rx's revenue growth and increase in its number of lives under management.

Prior to ProCare Rx, Mr. Buscetto was Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Domestic and International, at Magnitude Information Systems, Inc.  While at Magnitude he was instrumental in assisting the company in going public and he developed and implemented a multi-channel marketing plan and amongst other achievements, held oversight responsibilities for product development, branding and contract negotiations.

Mr. Buscetto holds a B.S. in Accounting and Computer Science from Indiana State University.

Dan Hardin

Senior Vice President, Public Sector and Resident Care Management

As Senior VP, Public Sector and Resident Care Management for SXC Health Solutions, Inc., Mr. Hardin has complete accountability for the Fee-for-Service State Medicaid sector, State Employee, and Long Term Care programs. 

Mr. Hardin joined SXC in 2006 as Vice President, Business Development – Public Sector; his responsibilities included oversight of sales, marketing, proposal development, clinical program operations, and provider relations.  He also led strategic planning to increase SXC's presence in government-sponsored pharmacy programs. 

Previously, Mr. Hardin served as Vice President, Business Development and Clinical Services for ACS State Healthcare, LLC.  As Associate Vice-President, Pharmacy Programs, for Keystone Mercy Health Plan, he led business development efforts targeted to Medicaid Managed Care Organizations. 

With First Health Services Corporation, Mr. Hardin worked in the product marketing, account management, and rebate services areas.  He was responsible for the development of the supplemental rebate program incorporating "Best Practices" for the Michigan Department of Community Health. 

Mr. Hardin obtained his M.B.A. with honors in Healthcare Management from Duke University in 1997 and a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from the University of South Carolina in 1979. 

He is an active member of the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP), where he currently serves on the Board of Trustees (past Chair) and the Executive and Strategic Planning committees.  He currently co-Chairs the Manufacturer Rebates work group (WG7), and participates in multiple committees and work groups.

Mr. Hardin is also a member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) and has spoken at multiple conferences regarding Standards and Public Sector clients. 

Russell Annunziata

Senior Vice President, Industry Relations

As Senior VP, Industry Relations, Mr. Annunziata oversees the Retail Network Management, Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Relations, and Client Analytics functions at SXC. 

Prior to joining SXC in 2008, Mr. Annunziata was Vice President, Retail Services at Caremark for 8 years; his responsibilities included retail network negotiations, price management, client guarantee management, and retail audits and analytics. 

In addition, Mr. Annunziata wrote and published Caremark's first book on drug trend.  

Mr. Annunziata served American Drug Stores (ADS) for 4 years as Manager, Pharmacy Audits.  His responsibilities included minimizing losses due to all third-party Rx billing.  He also published an ACPE-approved continuing education booklet on third-party billing for pharmacists.  Prior to joining ADS, he owned and managed a retail pharmacy.

Mr. Annunziata is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy.

Cliff Berman

Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Mr. Berman joined SXC as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in March 2008, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the pharmacy and PBM space.  Prior to joining SXC, he served as Division Counsel, Legal Regulatory and Compliance for Abbott Laboratories, where he worked for over five years. 

Prior to Abbott, Mr. Berman worked at Allscripts, where he served as SVP, General Counsel, and Chief Privacy Officer.  Earlier in Mr. Berman's career he also held a number of positions over an 8 year period with Caremark, Inc., including Vice President, Legal Services. 

Mr. Berman received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Michigan, his Juris Doctor from Loyola University, and his MBA from the University of Chicago.  He served on the Illinois State Board of Pharmacy from 1994-1999. Mr. Berman is also a past president of the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association.

Mark Adkison

Senior Vice President, Mail and Specialty

As Senior VP for informedRx's Mail and Specialty Operations, Mr. Adkison is responsible for the high-quality delivery of a state-of-the-art mail service pharmacy business as well as advanced specialty pharmacy operations, to help employers and health plans manage rising prescription drug costs without sacrificing quality coverage.

Mr. Adkinson joined National Medical Health Card Systems, Inc. (NMHC) in 2003 as president of the company's new Specialty Pharmacy Solutions Division, NMHC Ascend, which is now Ascend SpecialtyRx.  In November of 2006 Mr. Adkison assumed responsibility for NMHCMail, which is now informedMail.

Mr. Adkison's experience includes more than 18 years of management practice in the specialty and mail-order industry.  Prior to joining NMHC, Mr. Adkison served as General Manager of Option Care, Inc., where he led the company's specialty pharmacy mail division. While serving as Vice President and General Manager of ScripPharmacy at MIM Corporation, Mr. Adkison was responsible for mail service and specialty pharmacy distribution.  At PCS Healthsystems Inc., he built the mail service operation from zero to 30,000 prescriptions per day.

Mr. Adkison earned his Master's Degree from the University of Dallas and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Harding University.

Kelly Kettlewell

Senior Vice President, PBM Operations

As Senior Vice President of PBM Operations, Ms. Kettlewell is responsible for enhancing the internal processes and infrastructure of PBM operations to support the company's growth and to fulfill its mission. Specifically, she has chief operational responsibility for informedRx client implementations, benefit administration, eligibility, and member communications, nationwide.

Ms. Kettlewell has held a variety of leadership positions since joining SXC in 1997. Until December 2008 she held the position of Vice President of Special Projects and was responsible for leading the successful integration of NMHC with informedRx. Prior to that she was Vice President of Account Management, where she was responsible for the financial success of the division and the strategic identification and management of clients, including satisfaction, retention and growth. She has more than 19 years of experience in the PBM industry.

Ms. Kettlewell received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Alma College.

Susan Fleming

Vice President, Marketing

As Vice President of Marketing, Ms. Fleming is responsible for corporate marketing and communications strategies, including public relations, sales support, brand management and employee communications. Ms. Fleming joined SXC with a wealth of experience in the managed care sector, including Group Health and Workers' Compensation. She spent nearly 20 years at First Health, where she held a variety of management positions and was responsible for marketing, product management, underwriting, clinical operations, quality assessment and key account management.

Ms. Fleming is a registered nurse and holds a Bachelors of Health Arts from St. Francis University.
